There is a queen loft bed that has only the top bunk bed for sleeping, the space underneath is not for sleeping, can be working area or living area, what’s the type of the area is up to you. Some smaller items can be placed in the space, such as cabinet,chest,drawers,bookcase, you can make a good design what you want or buy a queen loft bed with the default setting. My college bed is a wood and iron mixed queen loft bed, a wood loft bed with sturdy iron ladder and guard rail. As mentioned above, my college bed is wood queen loft bed but ladder and guard rail is iron, because ladder and guard rail is very important for a loft bed. Ladder should be sturdy enough to support your weight, and the guard rail can prevent you from falling out of a bed when you are asleep, because you don’t know what you will do while asleep.
